India is the world's second largest populated country with the largest number of youths. Among the India's population 40% of Indian population is below the line and 25% of them are illiterate. As per a statistic, Internet is usually remain absent in the rural areas. In order to make all this area cable to use Internet this project has been launched.
This project is going to provide Technical knowledge and digital training to the people from the backward area, to provide quality education in order to create an economical, social and cultural advantage by providing them digital and technological training and create better opportunities for them being employed by companies in India and Abroad at the same time when they became digitally literate the social gap between the rural and developed area will remove. PMGDISHA (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan) has a web of helping hands who work together to provide authorize underprivileged section of the society, to spread the digital empowerment among the rural and the urban communities and panchayat constituencies. To fulfill this mission government has taken the target to educate at least one person from each household and this mission is going to be successful by the prior step government is taking to promote social inclusion by informing and communicating technology. PMGDISHA(Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan) has decided a two level training course. In the first level course the training and the skills are going to provide to use digital devices like smart phones and tablets. Students are going to trained to receive emails and to use internet to explore and find information. The duration of the course will be 10-30 days and time will be 20 hourse the eligibility for this course is student must be illiterate or non-IT literate+7th passes. In the second level course students are going to trained to access services by e-governance and other sites the course duration will be 20-60days with the 40 hours of training time. Eligibility for this course will be non-IT+8th passed.
The only requirement for this course is for the anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and ration card dealers they must need an official Id and adhar card and for those families who are below the poverty line they need a BPL Card and Adhar card and for the served categories cast certification and the adhar card is required.
